Born in Barranquilla, Giancarlo Mazzanti has developed a successful career in Colombia and, increasingly, outside his country, with key projects in the socio-cultural development of Medellín such as the Spain and Ladera Leon Greiff libraries.
His architectural practice is developed within the Mazzanti team, a study of open and collective practice with architects, urban planners, artists and sociologists, among other professionals, working horizontally.
Its declared objectives-civic well-being, social transformation and the construction of a competitive and sustainable society through a careful investigation of the environment and the social actors involved in each project-and the excellent results obtained in executed projects make this architect and his work an unbeatable starting point for the cycle Utopias constructed.
