De Echegaray is de zijlocatie van zijn grote broer, het Teatro Cervantes. Deze kleine, smaakvol gerestaureerde locatie was ooit een beroemde bioscoop met een weelderig neoklassiek ontwerp. Na tientallen jaren verwaarloosd te zijn geweest, is het uitgebreid verbouwd tot een studiotheater waar de kleinere, meer avant-gardistische of intieme shows worden opgevoerd. Dit stelt de locatie in staat om kleinere evenementen te organiseren en variëteit en contrast toe te voegen aan de belangrijkste festival-evenementen en seizoensprogrammering. Let op interessante hedendaagse muziek, fysiek theater, alternatieve comedy en cabaret, vernieuwende moderne dans en auteur filmklassiekers.
