We'll start at the entrance gate, where you'll get a brief historical introduction to the cemetery and its tragic beginnings.
Next, we'll take a tour of the different terraces and courtyards, highlighting the types of burials and taking a look at the prominent figures and families who were important to the city.
Who was the first person buried? Who's William Mark? What are the 'memorial bench' and the 'red poppy'?
We'll also tell the tragic stories of Robert Boyd and the sinking of the frigate Gneisenau.
We'll explain the wide variety of funerary symbolism, among which the wonderful Angel of Anna stands out.
We'll finish the tour at the cemetery entrance, in the place called Casa del Guarda.
