There is ample car parking, and for quick pick-up and drop-off we recommend the express car park on the upper floor opposite departures. If you are less than 15 minutes there's no charge. There is also a preferential car park next to it, and the long-term car park on the lower floors which is quite economic relatively speaking. 

When traveling to the airport by car, be sure to allow for rush hour traffic which can be intense sometimes, especially in the summer months. Allow an extra 20 minutes. Better safe than sorry!

The airport is linked by rail, the Cercanias C1 line connects to Malaga railway station and the town centre, and in the other direction to local stations along the Costa del Sol as far as Fuengirola. Trains every 20-30 minutes.
 
For buses go to the transport hub rail/bus outside terminal 3.
Express line Linea A will take you to Malaga city. Available from 0625 hours until 2330 hours, or local bus service M-135, from outside the cargo terminal.
