Description

We begin with a taste of family-produced organic olive oil: a chance to discover its aroma and texture before the wine tasting starts. Step into a family-run specialist wine shop in the heart of Malaga and meet the expert host who will guide your 90-minute tasting. Take your place at a beautifully prepared table, with five glasses and an individual tray of pairing tapas waiting for you. Continue with a playful sensory experiment that shows how strongly smell shapes flavour. You will then taste five Spanish wines chosen to reveal different grapes, regions and winemaking styles. Rather than overwhelming you with technical language, your host will show you what to notice in the glass: the first aromas, how the wine feels on the palate and how it changes as it rests and opens. Between wines, try thoughtfully chosen bites such as spiced vegetable tabbouleh, salmorejo with cured ham, Russian salad on a puff-pastry tartlet, crisp cheese with caramelised onion, and Iberian sobrasada on raisin and cereal bread. Discover how sweetness, acidity, salt, spice and texture can make the same wine feel completely different. Dietary requirements can be adapted when shared in advance. Once all five wines have been served, take your time to revisit the glasses, compare favourites and enjoy the food at your own pace. Expect a relaxed, sociable experience that feels more like tasting with knowledgeable friends than attending a formal class. You will leave with simple skills you can use whenever you order or open a bottle, and a new way of noticing the stories, aromas and culture inside every glass.
