If you select the “On Your Own” option, you will have over three hours to explore Granada independently. For the guided option, join a walking tour of the historic city center, learning about key landmarks such as the souk, Cathedral, and Royal Chapel. Enjoy free time to sample local tapas, shop, or photograph the city before meeting your guide to visit the Alhambra.
The guided tour of the Alhambra includes access to the palaces and Generalife Gardens. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is Spain’s best-preserved Moorish monument, with architecture dating back to the 13th century. Explore its intricate decorations and learn about its transformation from a palatine city to royal residence and military fortress.
Conclude the visit by strolling through the Generalife Gardens, once the Nasrid dynasty’s palace recreational area. Return to the Costa del Sol by coach at the end of the day.
