Families with children under 7 can request front or rear child seats free of charge. Older children can select from children’s mountain or city bikes.

Cycle alongside the Mediterranean for a refreshing experience. Head east on flat, traffic-free paths up to 20 km, passing old fishing neighborhoods like Pedregalejo and El Palo. Stop at Peñon del Cuervo beach, where locals jump off the rock into the sea for a quick cool down. Continuing along the coast, cycle through old train tunnels carved into cliffs and visit beaches such as la Cala del Moral and Rincón de la Victoria. For a longer ride, continue to Chilches, take a selfie by the sign, and earn a prize upon returning your bike.

To explore Malaga’s western side, cycle through the SOHO arts district, featuring street art murals by local and international artists. Follow the Guadalmedina River to the Contemporary Art Museum (CAC), which offers free entry and bike parking outside. Continue along the coastal bike path, passing remnants of Malaga’s industrial past including old factory chimneys.

Next, head up the Guadalhorce River and cross the longest wooden bridge in Europe. Park your bike at the Nature Reserve entrance to stroll around the lagoons where you might see flamingos. Then ride over another bridge to reach Torremolinos, the birthplace of Costa del Sol tourism, cycling safely along the promenade bike path.

For an inland option, bike to Malaga’s Botanical Gardens via safe paths, reaching nature within 30 minutes. Bike parking is available at the gardens. Extend your ride one kilometer further to the Limonero Dam for panoramic mountain and city views.
