The Parador de Málaga Gibralfaro offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views in the city. Perched on Mount Gibralfaro next to the historic castle, it's an ideal place to enjoy breathtaking views over Málaga, the Mediterranean Sea, the port, and the bullring. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, it's worth visiting for a drink, coffee, or meal on the terrace while taking in the scenery. The peaceful setting, excellent service, and unforgettable sunsets make this one of Málaga's most scenic spots. Lovely place to stop for lunch. Had a beer & shared a beautifully presnted tuna & langoustin salad. Very relaxing, great view over Málaga with the cathedral & Alcazar.
We stayed in a Double Standard Room and it was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. The balcony was also great and had a table and 2 chairs. The bathroom was huge, but didn't have a tub. The view was amazing from the terrace, overlooking the city, the bull ring and the ocean. There is free outside carparking available. We loved the location, is fine to walk down to Malaga, but we just caught a taxi back up each time as it is very steep. The hotel has a beautiful Spanish design, the breakfast was great, you have the buffet, but you can also order eggs and bacon etc with the staff. We ate at the Restaurant and it was delicious, the bar downstairs is also great for a drink or a snack. Very nice and would definitely recommend.
Great stay, all the rooms benefit from a terrific view of the city, right next to Gibralfaro castle giving rope-drop access and avoiding queues at ticket machines at Alcazaba entrance. Agree with other reviews regards machinery noise - something to do with pool, they switch it on at 10pm making all the rooms vibrate, got them to switch it off. Would also suggest they ban smoking on balconies - with everyone enjoying the view with open doors the smoke easily drifts across and into everyone's rooms.
