It was an unashamedly socialist goal. Today, the echoes of this philosophy are still seen on the shelves. FNAC is the culture and media store par excellence. Its bookshop is comprehensive and diverse. It stocks an enormous range of music, films, technology and audiovisual equipment, photographic supplies and computer hardware. Traditionally FNAC has also been a cultural meeting point, holding lectures and events, discussions and performances and this tradition is kept alive to this day.
