Things to do
This is Malaga's latest addition to its extraordinary richness of art available to the visitor. It is the result of an initiative of the municipal authorities to convert the space at the corner of Muelle Uno y Dos on the renovated port into a multipurpose gallery space, and they have a five-year license from the Pompidou in Paris. This allows them to mount a permanent main exhibition drawn from the enormous archives in Paris, and to have two or three temporary exhibitions each year curated by the staff at the main museum. The Pompidou offers the chance see the very latest in contemporary art direct from the Pompidou, which complements the offerings at the CAC. Together Malaga's offering of modern art is on par with any major European city or capital even. There's ample space, 6000 square metres, housed under the iconic cube at the corner of the dock. There is an ample car park adjacent, and when you have finished, you can enjoy the walks, restaurants, shopping and craft market on the quayside. The combined entrance is 9€ (conc. 5.50€), permanente exhibition is 7€(conc. 4€) and temporary exhibitions are 4€ (conc. 2.50€). It is open Wednesday to Monday 0930 to 2000 hours.
