Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing mainly due to cleanliness. On arrival, the room we were given was not clean at all, staff were understanding and switched us to another room, but the issues continued throughout the stay: dust on all the furniture, mold in the bathroom tiles and shower, a dirty toilet base and dirt/frost buildup in the freezer. We placed our clothes on a chair and later took them with a layer of dust…We asked at reception for a hairdryer and had to wait three days before getting one because they only have few of them. Even though we hung the housekeeping request sign on our door every day, the room was properly cleaned only once in 8 nights (fresh towels, linens, and vacuuming on night 4) and one of the towels we unfolded had a clump of hair in it. We also avoided using the shared kitchen on our floor, as the utensils didn't look clean and there wasn't even a fork provided. The location is also fairly far from the city center: about a 5-minute walk to the bus stop toward downtown, but a 22-minute walk to the bus stop for the airport. The soundproofing between rooms was poor, you could hear every door closing on the floor, especially at night. On the positive side, the staff were helpful, the air conditioning worked well once fixed, there were vending machines with water and snacks available 24/7 and the room had a small TV with Netflix and YouTube. The design is modern and the price is reasonable compared to other properties in the area, but that's not enough to make up for the poor cleanliness and hygiene. Overall, I would not recommend this property.
Idk why this is labeled as a youth hostel in google. If anything this is a no-frills airport hotel for all ages. All the furnishings were new. Reception was so kind at check-in. In each room you have a kitchenette, TV, ample storage space. This was way better than what I expected (and I simply expected a place to crash for an early flight). Thanks!
As a student who studies in the center the location is not ideal for who travels with bus, it is about 39min during week days . And with their room price I expected much more. It is not that the place is bad ,the staff was actually friendly , but in Malaga you can live with the same price in a new ,modern ,much bigger & full equipped apartment , and not just a small room like in livensa with no gas stove so I had to take my cooking stuff in and out every time I went to cook. .
Very nice and helpful staff but my room was not clean when I checked in. Clumps of hair on the floor of room and bathroom. Staff gladly had it recleaned. Many black marks on the wall. Weird smell coming from bathroom in the morning (plumbing issue? 🤔). Decent quiet room but tight. Location is ok, not far from airport via subway and access to buses to get to the center of town.
Stayed here for 2 weeks. The rooms were clean upon arrival but as I observed the room was quite dusty and the mattress was dirty and covered in hair. The counter tops were not cleaned properly or the shelving and desk. In my opinion, having a room that is not dusty is not a luxury. I found a bug on my mattress when i pulled back the sheets. It is also very noisy as there are students that reside here. The rooms don’t get cleaned if you don’t put out the hanger on the door. I was unaware of this so my room was not cleaned for 2 weeks. On a positive note, the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The café is great and the food is reasonably priced. The clothes washing facilities are also great! I would recommend this place if you are looking for a much cheaper alternative and do not mind issues stated above
