Disappointed by the service. For a 4-star hotel we were only expecting the minimum but even then got disappointed. - Room service costs 4.50€ (I’ve never seen that in any hotel I’ve been to, even 2-stars!) - The TV doesn’t have Netflix nor any other streaming app (also never seen that in any other 4-star hotel) - The reception wanted to make us pay 2x more than what we paid just to extend our stay by a few days, they clearly didn’t care that we had stayed there for 3 weeks. On a positive note rooms are quite nice but that’s pretty much it.

Really lovely, clean hotel. Didn't use the restaurant but it looked nice. The room was simple and comfy but with a beautiful shower and bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend staying here as it's a short 15 min walk to the centro.

Our stay at Serenay was truly memorable. The hotel is beautiful, the room was comfortable and peaceful, and everything felt carefully maintained. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We were also pleasantly surprised by the incredible food at the restaurant—it became one of the highlights of our trip. The Spanish Fusion dishes were delicious, and we couldn’t get enough of them. The chef was also very accommodating of my husband’s nut allergy, which made us feel especially cared for and at ease. We loved our experience and would highly recommend Serenay to anyone looking for comfort, beauty, great food, and exceptional hospitality.

++ A new hotel, apparently built very recently — according to Google Maps, this spot was still a construction site in 2025. Overall, it feels modern, comfortable, and well thought out. One big advantage is the excellent private parking under the building, which is especially important if you are travelling by car. Breakfast is decent, and it seems you can also come in from the street, pay, and enjoy the buffet. The room had a coffee machine and, wow, plenty of power sockets — always appreciated. There is also a large rooftop terrace with umbrellas and sun loungers, offering a nice view over the city. Overall, a convenient and pleasant stay. -- There was no bidet in the bathroom, which we are used to in Italy. The Wi-Fi was slow, with speeds up to around 10 Mbps, which does not feel very modern. Also, entering the Wi-Fi password was honestly awful. It was about twenty different characters, and there was no option to reveal or check what you had typed. Usually there is an “eye” icon next to the password field for this, but here there wasn’t.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is very clean and has a beautiful aesthetic throughout. Everything feels modern, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they’re very cute and make great use of the space with plenty of storage and different areas to keep your things organized. What stood out most was how homey and comfortable the hotel felt. Despite its modern design, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and feel at home. The overall aesthetic is beautiful and very visually pleasing, and everything felt well maintained. I also appreciated the hotel’s eco friendly approach, which was reflected in several thoughtful touches throughout the property. The location is great for exploring Málaga as well. If you’re looking for a stylish, clean, comfortable, and environmentally conscious place to stay, I’d definitely recommend it.
