Terraza Chinitas

Old Town, Malaga

Terraza Chinitas is a newer arrival on the rooftop scene in Malaga. It is located as its name suggests, above the Chinitas passage where famous tapas bars huddle in the medieval streets. It is a just a few meters down the passage off the Calle Larios, on top of the hostel of the same name. There's no lift so be prepared for a healthy walk up the narrow stairs, and don't have too many cocktails for the downward journey! It's well worth it to get to the intimate and relaxed terrace, with its white sofas and luminous night lighting. Gaze across the tiled roofs to the Cathedral as it breaks the skyline. All around is terracotta and stone, tiles and sloped roofs. The combination of an open space with a bar, good music, delicious cocktails, that seems to float in a sea of old stone with its own church to watch over it is irresistible. Keep an eye out on the events, as they feature a monthly live session of flamenco sounds and artists.
