Department Stores El Corte Inglés isn't at all English ironically enough, being Spain's only bona fide department store. It is pretty much a national institution with its architect designed signature buildings on landmark sites throughout the country. The Malaga store is on two sites next to each other. It is everything you would expect a department store to be, with a full range of departments, personal service, quality brands and excellent restaurant facilities to boot. It is perched on the river opposite the old town in the central business district. It's one of those places that will always have that one thing you need.
