El Ranchito - Equestrian centre and show
A world of horses
El Ranchito offers much more though. The extensive complex stables dozens of horses and you take a variety of riding lessons, dressage, and more. Guided horse treks are available, and you can even rent a horse if you need.
The Equestrian ballet takes place each Wednesday without fail at 1745 hours, ending at approximately 1930 hours. Entitled 'Ritmo a Caballo', it is a musical spectacular mingling the high skills of Andalucian horsemanship, with stunts and challenges and choreographed pieces of dance by the horses and the flamenco ensemble.
The choreography is set to sequences of Dressage and Vaquera, with Spanish music and costumes of the old Andalusia and directed by José Carlos González Guerrero, the main rider who in his career has won such important prizes as: Champion of Spain in 2009 or Medal of Gold repeatedly in the Sicab (One of the most important events in the world of equestrian). The show features 20 horses, all of them trained by the riders whose knowledge and experience are demonstrated through a variety of individually presented and choreographed pieces such as the following:
Equestrian Magic
A magical understanding between horse and rider, where different movements of the high school will be performed, such as the passage, piaffe or the elevado.
Fantasy of the Feria
Dressed in Andalusian traditioanl horseman's style, male riders with the female partners sitting side saddle behind perform a series of choreographed passes redolent of the famous traditional horse fairs of Seville and Jerez.
Sevillanas on Horseback:
A horsemen and a woman performing the traditional Sevillana folk flamenco dance display their complementary skills in a fusion of horsemanship and flamenco.
Lead by hand
The dismounted rider, holding the reins, takes this young horse through a training series of the classic Andalusian dressage figures.
Dream of Amazona
Some say it is the most beautiful spectacle that can be seen in horsemanship, where the difficulty, beauty, grace, mastery and composure of the woman on horseback harmoniously combine.
Farm work
Horsemanship born of the countryside, on the extensive fighting bull ranches, where the beasts roam free pasture and the horse and man must be at their best to be one better.
High School Carousel
This carousel is the compendium of the serenity and harmony of the components of the show 'Ritmo a Caballo'. It features the rigorous and traditional elegance demonstrated when a set of Spanish horses move in unison and to the rhythm of the music.
