Municipal Museum

The MUPAM has been conceived as a space to solve a triple objective: to give extra value to the municipal heritage, to bring it closer to society and act as a platform to disseminate and support local art, especially contemporary artists. The Municipal Heritage, the basis of the Museum's content, is made up of more than 4,000 pieces, belonging to the categories of natural spaces, built environment, sculptures, paintings, graphic art, and documents of high historical value and a voluminous library. For the permanent exhibition of the Museum, 94 works have been selected, following criteria of quality and representativeness. Its organization, structured along chronological routes, serves thematic units that explain, from the works, the relationship between the City Council and its city. Open Tuesday to Sunday 1000-1400/1700 - 2000 hours, entry free.Discover the history of Malaga from its paintings, engravings, art objects and stories.
