The Mercado de Salamanca is one of those fabulous opulent oddities that gets built and becomes part of the fabric and identity of the neighbourhood, but is often little known outside the locality. Otherwise known as the Mercadillo del Molinillo, as that's the name of the barrio in which it is located, it was built between 1922 and 25, and has had nearly a hundred years continuous use as a local market. Recyclo is the bike shop of choice, and the cafe of choice for those who like their bikes. A great place for a coffee, vegetarian and healthy cuisine in a hip and friendly atmosphere.
Sabor a Málaga is a trademark owned by the provincial government and is awarded to resident producers of food, drink and produce whose native uniqueness and quality is considered emblematic of the region, its culture, natural environment and history. It groups together over 400 different agri-food businesses and suppliers in the province.
