Rocket Yoga is a contemporary style popularized by Larry Shultz (San Francisco 1950-2011) who was the 'on tour' teacher of the legendary rock band 'The Grateful Dead', the name Rocket was released by one of the members of that band arguing that like a rocket 'takes you there faster'. This already gives us a clue. Rocket Yoga is based on the practice of traditional Ashtanga Yoga but committing some daring (which earned Shultz the nickname of 'the bad man of Ashtanga') as merging the first series with the second and third (these latter two normally only consecrated and authorized students have access) and adding a wide range of super challenging transitions that force us to work powerfully our muscles, elasticity and center of gravity, at the same time applying the bandhas (energy actions) to be able to carry out this claim practice with integrity and out of risk. In Rocket sweat without a doubt, and perhaps we could say that it is an exquisite way to burn in flames everything, from the toxins to the thoughts, decongesting the mind, generating stamina and returning the vigor.
