ADDRESSCalle Calderon de la Barca 3w, Malaga
Directions
Andino is a gastrobar that pays homage to the classic dishes of LAtin America, modernised and turned out in ¡tapas format. So you can choose small or large dishes for sharing, snacking, or feasting. The classic forms of food from Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Chile allows for some great variety and rarely seen dishes. A pastel made from cornmeal, stuffed with beef, egg, olives and spices and steamed is probably not found anywhere else in the city. A welcome introduction of this Peruvian classic. There are plenty of empanadas, rich piquant Ceviche, noodle dishes, stir fries, a range of great burgers from pureground beef, chicken fillet or vegetarian, and some fried root chips. Root vegetables as in yucca, sweet potato and plantain. This is a truly refreshing menu when you consider that most Latin American restaurants in town opt for the gaucho style of meat cuisine. One can often ask about cuisine, 'what's new under the sun?'. Well in Malaga, it's Andino.
