Meson Mariano advertises itself as Málaga cuisine, and indeed it is, in a familial traditional Málaga ambiance. Their speciality dishes are typically Malagueño, but often ignored by more touristic restaurants. Here you will find delicious rich earthy artichokes, a rich mellifluous stewed kid goat, flavoured with mountain herbs, and salt cod, intense and spikey with a rich sauce. Iberico hams, shellfish lounging in generous amounts of parsley, garlic and olive oil, shrimp with fluffy alioli, and wafer-thin aubergines fried and drizzled with cane molasses.
