Patisserie Tapas Cafe con Libros is a friendly, bohemian hang-out right on the Plaza. They have an ample terrace and it's always lively here, morning noon and night. Coffee with books, is what it purports to be and inside it is just that, like an old reading room, with magazines, newspapers and other things available. Its charmingly scruffy and unpretentious, but its greatest asset is its location on the strip of terraces that run along the east side of the square. Apart from the obvious nine shades of coffee, they have great juices, snacks, sandwiches, salads, and yummy cakes and crepes. It's also a proper bookish cafe with intimate events in the interior, be they live spots by musicians, micro-theatre performances, readings or exhibitions and talks. The art of coffee, in more ways than one.
